Not what I thought Sep 14, 2009
By James A. Crabb This item is listed as brass, but it really has a brass like finish on it. It's really not a particularly well made piece, and had I seen it before I purchased it, I wouldn't have bought it.

Its OK Aug 12, 2008
By The Philistines I like the product a lot but the base rusted after a single winter in VA. I guess I was an idiot but I thought it should be weather proof. We used it a lot but when we moved after a year, we left it at the house.

Brass Swivel Thermometer Oct 27, 2005
By Sherm Kempp Attractive and easy to read. Mounting was a bit difficult on vinyl windows; the thermometer would receive a 5 if the brass mounting arm was longer. I had to mount it to a piece of 1x2 to extend past the window sash. Accurate!

Piece of Junk Jan 30, 2007
By W. T. Levy This Thermometer is about 7 degrees off and there is no way to adjust it so it's worthless.

Another Chinese product. Nov 29, 2008
By FPT Bought four Chaney 3-1/2 inch brass swivel thermometers . One for myself and three for gifts. The one I installed on my porch,in the shade, indicated the temperature to be 10 degrees higher than it actually was.Several weather sources were consulted for this test. Calibration instructions received from Cheney by e-mail recommended taking the instrument apart and adjusting it internally, then re-assembling it. Yeah right. All four were returned for refund.More Chinese junk.
