I bought this for my hubby after he broke 2 shovels digging out a rose bush and some bamboo. Its very durable and works great!

4usa made  Oct 10, 2011
By K. Martin
a good product that is still actually made in the usa. shovel was fairly light weight compared to the vintage model this one is replacing. blade has some good heft to it, and can still cut through tough soil. Only complaint is that the handle is plastic and not metal and wood. Will haev to see about hte very long term reliability.

4A Decent Shovel  Sep 25, 2011

I don't do a lot of digging so this is a good shovel to have around in case someone comes over who wants to dig.

4Handle is plastic  May 08, 2011
By Strike Me Down Now! "Human Being"
Seems fine for my purposes. If you do commercial or heavy work, I'd suggest something with a metal handle. This handle is all plastic. I didn't catch it in the product description. It seems fairly sturdy but I really don't know how it will hold up under really rough use.
