5Great All Around Outdoor Work Glove  Dec 11, 2008
By Jill Robinson "Rapid Reader"
I recently bought the green version of these gloves as a gift. Since there are no reviews yet of the purple, here we go:

The biggest surprise for me was the packaging itself - the tags said they are Equestrian gloves, for working with horses. There is a big picture of a horse on the tag, saying something like "Your horse will thank you for it!" No where on the package did it say work gloves for gardening, which is the use I had entended them for. However, the package did say "Atlas NT370 Nitrile" before the words equestrian, so I just figure that is the way they come. I took off the tags before wrapping.

I bought the small size and tried them on, but there is a little extra room at the finger tips - I have child sized hands so that's not surprising.

I was impressed by the Nitrile covering - I can see how it would be easy to work with small seeds - the Nitrile is a slip-proof grip. The Nitrile is thick enough to protect your hands from thorns and things, yet thin enough to have some sensation of what you're doing. They don't seem to be something that would tear easily.

The places where the Nitrile covers - bottom of hands and finger tips - would be waterproof, while the top of hand and wrist are made of a breathable weave - like a thick, soft mesh fabric. The packaging says the fabric does not get stiff when it gets wet. Appears to be washable, which is always great. It doesn't say washable anywhere on the packaging, but the ad on Amazon says washable - well, you can just tell that they could be washed.

Bottom line, great glove for any type of outdoor work - inlcuding working with animals and plants. They are very comfortable, and I can tell that your hands wouldn't get as hot as some of the other garden gloves available. Would buy them again, especially for the price!

5free motion quilting  Apr 10, 2009
By Carolyn Baird
I bought a pair of these for free motion quilting. I had tried the red ring gadget without much success and thought for $4.00 I'd give these a try. These are FABULOUS for free motion quilting! Gives you a great feeling of control; lightweight to wear. Wish I had heard about these earlier in my free motion quilting endeavours.

5Quck Delivery  Dec 20, 2011

Awesome quick delivery. Correct color and texture. Is what is seen and described. This is a present so I don't know how well they will use but so far I am impressed.

5Great gloves  Aug 31, 2011
By C. Adair
My adult daughter had a job this summer working outdoors with crops. She wanted some work gloves, but was not happy with experiences she had in the past with ordinary garden gloves. She said it was important for her to be able to use her hands -- and this is just exactly what she needed. She has small hands, and got small gloves. She loves them. I got her a blue pair and a purple pair. They are functional and feminine. They seem to be holding up well. I would buy more for her if she needed them. It's nice to get something for someone you care about that is just exactly what they need. I found some at another site that was less expensive, but the shipping cost was so high it ended up been cheaper and quicker to go through Amazon.

5tough yet like second skin  Aug 31, 2011
By kate
My husband and I are making a stone patio. We both have been wearing this glove. These are impressive. When he handed me my pair, I laughed and said these won't last long. I'm on my tenth day of handling rough stone, hammers etc. for 6 plus hour days. They look like the day I put them on. My husband wore a few small hole on the top cloth area around his knuckles, but not the finger tips. One day after exhausting work I came into the house to write a check and noticed when I picked up the pen I still had the gloves on. Fit well I wear a womens small, the best fit I have gotten in a glove. They are flexible and not bothersome, like second skin. For the money they can't be beat. I will use them for cutting and stacking firewood as well.
