STURDY AND LIGHTWEIGHT Sep 27, 2009
By Carolyn I enjoy the convenience of this tool. It gets into small areas easily and the telescopic handle has come in handy several times. It's well constructed with the exception of the red paint, it oxidized on the first day. Other than the paint job, I like it. I also purchased WOLF-Garten 3942154 59-Inch Multi-Star Aluminum Handle, this doesn't oxidize, is also well constructed and it has several attachments you can purchase separately, If you need more tools than a shrub rake you might take a look at WOLF-Garten.

Lightweight and telescoping - I am a fan of this small rake May 22, 2011
By Ali Julia I was in a local nursery purchasing seedlings for my garden when I spotted this rake. I was initially attracted to it because it was telescopic, and I thought it was it nice idea because sometimes I wish I could use my full size rake while standing on my knees (I tried it is not very comfortable). When I held in my hands I could not resist. It was very well made. The telescoping mechanism worked very smoothly. It had a feel of a very well constructed tool. The rake was much lighter than another brand of the same size. The handle felt comfortable and was non-slip. The top of the handle has a ring for hanging. The adjustment in height is anywhere between 25" to 37".
The fan of the rake is also metal and sturdy, yet flexible. The description says it is rust resistant with use of powder coating. The fan size is relatively small, perhaps the size of open stretched out hand. I am attaching a photo to this review with a writing pen next to the rake as a point of reference.
I now used this rake for two days of gardening. I found the small rake to be handy to get under the bushes and between the pots under my deck. Yet it was also good to work in a big area, I raked out the front lawn with it. I obviously had to do more swipes, but the tool was nice and easy to work with. Because each swipe worked on a smaller area I had to use very little force on each movement, so it turned out to be easier than using the old large rake.
I am very pleased with my new rake and would recommend it. Note that Amazon has a much better price than I paid in a local nursery.
Photos attached: the entire rake, close up of the rake fan with a pen next to it for size reference.

I really like this mini rake. It gets under and around my plants to rake out the leaves etc. Would recommend to others.
Excellent purchase Feb 11, 2012
By dj88lvr Just moved into our new home and my fiancee wanted garden tools small enough to use between existing trees & shrubs. I bought the trowel, hoe, and rake and definitely would recommend all three. He loves the telescopic handles and couldn't be happier with this affordable purchase. Thanks Amazon!!
Sturdy and well constructed and short (2 to 3 feet) Dec 01, 2011
By Logical The rake is easily ajustable from 25 to 37 inches
Tip ... 25 inches is about 2 ft Tip ... 37 inches is about 3 ft
I needed this small item to clean out the John Deere leaf bagger shoot (from mower exit to the leaf collecting bag). 2-3 feet is perfect length for this job and the overall width of the tines was perfect for fitting down the inside of the John Deere leaf bagging shoot/barrel.
Constuction was very much better than what I was expecting especially for the price.
Note that this is NOT a regular size rake. The width of the overall tines is small and great for getting in between tightly space bushes. Do NOT read this as the indivual tines as being small and unsturdy)
If you are looking for a great SMALL rake that is also adjustable than this is it and the price is exceptional. The adjustment is simple ... turn and pull on the handle and then turn and lock into place
If you are looking for a regular rake look elsewhere.
