3Japanese hoe  May 02, 2008

I really hate to say this but my last Japanese hoe not made in the USA wasa much better hoe. This hoe is heavy, metal will rust, and cutting edge is very primitive. If you are looking for a heavy duty (like a tank) Japanese hoe you may like this one. For finesse gardening and ladies I would look for a stainless steel hoe. I have taken this hoe to my grinder and put on a good cutting edge so it should work fine for me but is a bit much for my wife. Spend the extra money on a better hoe.

5Japanese hoe  Jul 13, 2009

I can understand why some people may not like the weight of this product but for me it's perfect. The steardy construction assures me that this item isn't going to break anytime soon. The design works very well in both hands though I think it's specifically right handed. It's a solid tool that gets the job done.
