Great Option May 04, 2010
By Mark F. Debelack I have a stove top indoor smoker and a gas grill. These shavings work well for both. I will stick to larger wood chunks for my charcoal grill, but I don't think these are meant for that purpose. The mesquite flavor comes through nicely. It is an enormous amount of wood, so it may lose its flavor before I exhaust the supply, but even so, I think it is a bargain.

Great for stovetop smoking Sep 08, 2009
By RJ McHenry Cameron's products are top quality. This is a big tub of wood chips for use in the stovetop smokers. Enough to last a year or maybe to share with a friend. Pecan wood imparts a gentle, smoky flavor to the food. I have smoked everything from beef to fish with pecan chips. I highly recommend it!

By Booksnoop I bought two types of these chips, cherry and hickory, to use in my Nordic Ware Oven Essentials Indoor and Outdoor Smoker. They work very well in my smoker. I used the hickory chips to smoke pork for pulled pork and to smoke chicken breasts for a chicken salad. The hickory chips give a fairly strong smoke flavor to your food. This was great for the pork, but a bit overpowering for the chicken. I tried smoking chicken breasts with just the cherry chips, which add a much milder smoke flavor than the hickory and then I used half hickory and half cherry for the chicken, and those had just the right amount of smoky flavor. I use two tablespoons of chips in my smoker for smoking, so the ten quarts of chips I purchased will last a long time. I highly recommend these chips if you have an indoor smoker.

By J. Allen I used Cameron's Cherry smoking chips to smoke a 6lb brisket in my stovetop smoker. It gives a great smoke flavor, while still allowing the flavors of the meat to come through. Hickory really overpowered everything, this is a great option if you want to taste the smoke and the meat.

By Jancie I love the flavor this product imparts to my salmon. I would rate it a 6 out of 5 if it was possible.
