Since I love my Kindle so much from Amazon and she goes everywhere with me, I decided that the car charger would be an added benefit. While on a driving trip (my husband driving) I can read the time away without worrying about the battery usage. Front seat or backseat, it works for what I needed.
Of course I went to Amazon.com first because I knew they would have anything I needed for my Kindle!

During a recent storm we lost power in our home.... I could not charge my Kindle and I had such a lost feeling... No electric and no book to read.... After 3 days our power was restored..... I then went on line and bought a car charger for my Kindle.... I have used in twice since the storm and I recommend it to everyone... You might not have electric but you can still have the enjoyment of reading books on your Kindle... Send for one now.... You will be glad you bought this item..
