5Has worked will for over two years  Apr 10, 2007
By Karl K "Karl K"
I have owned this wireless thermometer for over two years. It has worked well. I have the remote sensor on the outdoor porch protected from the weather and sun. It is about 30 feet away. It just does its thing, and that is great. I have not used the alarm clock nor snooze function (snooze??).

Only complaints: Well I lost my manual and I forgot it was an atomic clock. The setting clock setting buttons just plain won't work. It takes 12-24 hours for the atomic clock to set.
Only other thing, is I will be darned if I can find it's model number. Everything these days is referenced by a model number (even when I went on line to try to find a manual). Note that even this Amazon ad does not indicate a model number I can see.

Overall. I liked it. It works for me.

5ACURITE wireless thermometer is Awesome!  Jan 15, 2011

I've owned this model for over 5 years and it is outstanding! I've had the remote sensor outside in the elements for over 2 straight years using the same batteries. Its ability to set the time automatically is cool along with saving the the MIN/MAX temps. It is extremely durable. Range for the remote sensor is pretty good. I've got the remote downstairs while the main unit is upstairs and it has no problems get the signal to this day. Again I've had mine for over 5 years.

2Mediocre  Dec 16, 2007
By Steve

The atomic clock has only worked once in a great while. It won't update anymore and it's annoying to look at this thing and always see the wrong time.

Don't lose the manual since there does not appear to be any info on how to program this thing online.

Outside temperature works ok if you can find a north facing location near to where the unit will be. Also, you cannot place the unit where there is any heat absorbing material (asphalt etc.) nearby as this will result in inflated temps.

3Good to Fair  Dec 21, 2011
By Charles R. Holmes
I owned this unit for several years. In the past two years it has not always kept proper time, and I would have to set it by hand. It also did not always sync with the atomic signal to receive the right time. At times it has been very tempermental in its functioning. Just recently it began a beeping noise. I contacted the company, and they tried to help, but to no avail. I finally had to replace it with a Model 00754W2 that is much cheaper and, so far, seems to function better than this model.

5Works very well  Oct 28, 2011

Have had mine for approximately eight years. Works very well and battery live is very good. I have the remote sensor outside on the deck sheltered from the sun. Has no problem re-detecting the remote after changing batteries. Helps to experiment with location for the inside unit to detect the clock signal although mine is in the center of the house and has no problems.
