MUCH Better than Ceramic briquettes or Lva rocks! Apr 13, 2010
By </>< My old gas grill needed some new ceramic briquettes, so I went to the local store and had them in my buggy then I saw these Char-Broil Char-Diamonds, it said on the box they replace ceramic briquettes and lava rocks and cause the heat to be more even, so i fig what the hey and bought the box. One thing I like is they are flat on one side and sit nice and even in the grill. Fired the grill up and noticed immediately difference! Grill seemed hotter and heat was more even. The burgers cooked very smoothly. I would now on only buy these and recommend them to any griller.

Works well in our gas grill Aug 25, 2011
By Stephen M. Charme I have been using Char-Diamonds for a number of years in my gas grill. They are far superior to lava rocks and other similar products (all of which I have tried over the years). Since they are flat on one side, they can easily be positioned and uniformly spaced. This provides more even heat distribution and helps to reduce flare ups. In addition, the diamond shape helps to retain heat better, which not only lessens cooking time, but also assures that the entire cooking surface is uniformly heated without "hot spots." I noticed the difference immediately once I started using them, and would never go back to lava rocks and other similar products.
For outdoor gas grills this is definitely what you want to use.

Pretty Nice, had one explode Oct 09, 2011
By R. Harmer I bought two packages of these because I thought by other people's counts that I would need them for my regular sized Ducane grill. I only needed one package. They come in a box which has a plastic bag in them. You can tell that not all briquettes are created equal as some look perfect, some are more porous, and some still have their molding around the edges. After placing them in my grill I turned it on for 20 minutes to heat them up. One of the briquettes exploded it's top off. I'm not certain how/why that happened, but I still had 2 more in the bag. Glad I wasn't grilling food at the time though. Overall, they look nice and we'll see how they hold up.
Finally Char-coal taste... Nov 13, 2011
By Florida I was looking for that charcoal taste, but with modern sets it was not possible until I found the "Char Broil Diamonds." I foolishly first tried the wood chips and smoked out the neighborhood with bad taste also. Diamonds are Diamonds...

they all came unbroken even though it sounded like it. Used them twice so far and seems to be doing great for my grill. Would buy them again.
