Good coverage for grill and charcoal box...... Nov 01, 2007
By Yosemite Sam ....but ripped about a month after we got it. Not sure why you would create a cover designed to protect a grill from the outdoor elements that deteriorates (sp?) so quickly.

Falls Apart May 21, 2007
By M. Guiry After about 6 months of use I was putting this cover back on my grill and a 2 foot seem ripped open right in the middle. I was being pretty careful when it happened too. It basically just fell apart. Unless you want to buy a new cover every 6 months, I'd steer clear of this brand.
I bought the cover for my new grill just as Winter started. Never used it until Spring. After taking it off and putting it on about 6 times, the thing fell apart.

rips easily Mar 23, 2009
By Sean B I kept the grill outside with the cover on. Cover was riped to shreads after 6 months/ year. I guess I won't buy another cover like this. I don't know what else to cover it with.
EDIT/ UPDATE: Pick up a "Classic® Veranda Cart BBQ Cover" for a little more money, put an insulated cup/ mug over the smokestack (minus the handle?)and cover the grill, just going right over the stack piece. Mind has been outdoors for about a year and is holding up great and can see it will be durable enought to go for years (it's a canvas cover with a waterproof lining on the inside). Go look at the reviews for that cover. Sure, it diesn't fit like a glove like this char-griller cover, but the added durability (and eventual savings) are well worth it.

flimsy cover Sep 11, 2009

The cover is very flimsy as far as the sewing on the seams. It started to rip the first time I put it on the grill. But now that I know that I just put it on very carefully. It does look nice.

Please Char-Griller, make a fabric cover!!! Aug 27, 2009
By Zachary R. Morgan

I love my Char-Griller 2137, I have one at home and one at the beach house. However, this cover has to be replaced every year, it's like a bad joke, it just disintegrates in the sun. I'd happily spend more to get a premium cover that would not fall apart, but as it is, within a few years I will have spent more on these terrible covers than I did on the grills themselves. I only wish I could give 0 stars. If anyone ever finds an aftermarket cover that fits this grill with the side smoker attached, please post that information here.
