5Best weeder on earth!  Nov 18, 2006
By Victoria Whitaker "Vicki Whitaker"
The CobraHead Weeder is a rare thing -- a product that I can whole heartedly recommend. It is by far the most effective weeding tool I have ever used. The sharp head and curved neck penetrate even the hardest, driest Texas soil, get under the roots of weeds, and lift them out -- completely! This tool is also ergonomic and less stressful to my wrists than other weeders. The handle is very comfortable.

This sturdy tool will last a life time!

5CobraHead Weeder & Cultivator eats up the wiregrass & crabgrass!  Oct 24, 2008
By C. M. Gill
I thought I was ordering another tool very similar to the cobrahead. When I got this one, it works so much better than the one I wanted. It slices down to the roots of the weeds and tough grasses, making the job so much easier. I have several large flowerbeds, that had gotten quite out of hand while I was sick this summer. I got them all cleaned out in one weekend. I just might be ordering more as gifts for my friends for Christmas! It is a very sturdy, solid tool. Well made and should last a long time! The handle is very comfortable to use. I'm 70 years old so I need all the help I can get!

5CobraHead Weeder -- indispensable tool for clay soils  Jun 17, 2008
By Dennis Precourt
Versatile, durable, comfortable, the CobraHead is the first tool I pick up when I head out to the garden. I do everything with this: cultivate, mix compost, hack through hard-pan, transplant. etc.. Used mine in California clay-type soils going on three years now. The blade is quite worn, but the tool is still solid. Large diameter handle feels good in the hand and reduces grip fatigue. This is not a cheap import that will last but one season. I can't comment how it will perform in rocky soils, but in clay it rips.

4Extension of your hand - like a steel claw  Feb 17, 2011
By Gen of North Coast Gardening
If you often wish your gardening tools would function more like an extension of your body, then this is a weeding tool you're sure to love. It's constructed of sturdy, recycled materials, and the diamond-shaped blade truly feels like an extension of your hand - like a sturdy steel fingernail ready to break up soil, unearth weeds, create planting rows, and plant 6-packs or 4" plants.

If you're doing a lot of veggie gardening, or weeding in spots where the weeds are small and the soil's relatively soft, then this weeder has very natural feel that is a pleasure to use. It is not the best for large, established weeds, but for "finished" gardens that merely need maintaining, and for veggie gardening, it's an excellent multi-purpose tool. It's also great at removing weeds from sidewalk cracks.

For all-purpose use, I prefer a stainless steel hori-hori or soil knife, but for veggie gardening I like this tool a lot.
