3OK for 40 Bucks  Mar 27, 2009
By mikmax1 "Mikmax1"
This thing costs about $70-80 new at hardware stores.
The good:
It really blows plenty hard for light work.
It is light and easy to handle.
It is almost half the price of a new one.
The Not so good:
It is really hard to get the gas cap on straight. It cross threads easily, and if it does it leaks badly. Just be careful.
It is a little finicky to start and warm up...like lots of small 2 strokes. You have to balance how much choke to give it until warm
It does not have a trigger to control speed...just a lever. And it only runs well at full speed.
It has a high pitch vibration...puts your hand to sleep...not a long term work machine.

So, if you think this thing is for you, by all means pay 40 bucks for the refurb. I know a new one is not going to be any better for 70 or more. If you want a smoother operating machine, you will pay in both cost and weight.

I am on my 2nd one. The first one came missing the blower tube. I called Cust service. They gave me the choice of another unit in 2 days, or waiting 10 days for a replacement part from Homelite. I took the replacement. They paid shipping to return the old one. Cust Service was good.

1Awful Product & Service  Oct 22, 2009
By Robert Galli "DarkePye"
Homelite used to be a good product, but I will never purchase from them again. I called them today to complain about the Homelite Mighty Mite 26B's gas cap, which, after a few times of usage, began leaking due to the cheap cork gasket that was installed under the cap. The representative answered by telling me that the blower was only warranted for 60 days, and quickly hung up on me without notice. So, be forewarned about all Homelite products and their poor customer service.

5Liteweight Power!  Mar 06, 2010
By Tommy Clark "tomnchrist"
Easy to Start, Liteweight with bottom suction, doesn't try to suckup your clothes.
Plenty of power, I run mine on half throttle or less for sweeping the carport and driveway.

Cons: Very loud at full throttle (actually hurts my ears).
Gas tank is small, maybe 15 minutes of use.
I am 6ft tall and would like another foot of tube length.

1Junk Never started leaks gas Don't buy it!!  Apr 13, 2009
By Gutherie Jones "GJ"
I bought this model from Home Depot on Feb 3 2009 I tried it out for the first time in April 2009 and it leaks gas and doesn't start. Called Homelite several times they said you have to press the primer bulb 15 times the first time you start it. Still no luck the string is wearing down and I still haven't even started the leaf blower yet. Major gas fumes drips gas all over. Cheap Junk. I would have been better off with weed eater. The service center is far away and they didn't even want to service it wow. Stay away from this model.
