3Sturdy, but not holding an edge  Aug 25, 2010
These clippers appear to be made reasonably well and I'll be happy to get a few years out of them. However, after having them in service for only a week, it's time to take the file to them. I haven't chopped anything much larger than a pencil diameter, but that seems to be enough to dull the edge.

The blades are sharp and strong and helped me easily chop through large ornamental grasses and a host of other shrubs/plants. I have only used them a few times but so far I am impressed. They are light weight and easy to use.

These shears give a very clean cut. The power lever allows heavier branches that get caught in the mix to be handled with ease. You don't even know they're there. I highly recommend getting a shear with a power lever feature for any heavy hedges. Another great Fiskars product!

Very well built tool for clipping. The feel is quality from the first clip. Won't need to ever buy another clipper! Great price also!

I found these shears worked with very little effort when trimming my shrubs. I have a gas powered shrub trimmer, but use these because they are light and almost effortless to use.
