Ok, but it already broke... May 26, 2011
By C.T.R. I purchased this greenhouse as an upgrade from a smaller one that I had. It is a really great design, and is pretty big inside. It is tall, but also an unusual shape which actually provides a decent amount of space. The many vents are great, and the shape prevents water accumulation on the top from flooding any plants inside. The only issue I have with this product is that it comes with two "optional" tension bars that are intended to support the greenhouse in high winds. Well, by the second night of having the greenhouse up these tension rods snapped. It was breezy out, but no more than maybe 20mph gusts and every point on the greenhouse was anchored down properly so the greenhouse did not sway. The greenhouse still stands without these bars, but it is not as taught as before. I basically expected a product that is a couple hundred dollars to withstand 20mph wind gusts. I probably wouldn't buy this greenhouse again, but it does work for the most part.
Customer service is horrible Feb 05, 2012
By drmeyer I purchased this greenhouse to protect my numerous potted plants from winter frost. Unfortunately when it arrived one of the factory installed poles was broken. I requested a replacement part but was told I had to return the entire bloomhouse and that after they received the returned product they would then process an order for a new one. I told them it was a big problem as it meant chancing the loss of several hundred dollars worth of plants by not having a way to protect them from frost, but they were unconcerned. My choices were to hold on to a broken product and try to use it despite it being broken (lopsided and tilted) or return it and watch my potted plants die of frost bite why I wait for them to process a new order. How very disappointing to see that they are not interested in making me (the Customer) happy. In my opinion this is very poor customer service and I won't do business with them again. A reputable company would have apologized and sent a replacement part or order, and then asked for me to return the damaged item. I am always eager to do business with people who do the right thing, but these people choose otherwise. Guess they don't realize that it these hard times bad customer service can cost them not just their reputation but also their business.
So far, so good. Jan 21, 2012
By Blue Moon I bought this greenhouse in December. It's the second Flowerhouse product I've owned. The first one was smaller. I got this one because it said you could put it up in 5 minutes. And that's really about all the time it took, OK maybe 10 when you count pounding in the ground stakes. The day after I put it up, the heavy weather poles broke, even though we didn't have heavy weather (just normal light breezes). Amazon was really good about shipping me a new one as a replacement. All I had to do was repackage and return the first one. They even sent me an RMA ticket, so my only cost on the return was driving it to the UPS Store. I did not install the heavy weather poles this time, so time will tell if they hold up when I do. We've had some strong rain and wind gusts and that was not a problem.
Caveat. For anyone who expects this tent to survive more than 3 or 4 winters, remember it's a vinyl product. My first Flowerhouse started deteriorating by the third year. It was usable in the forth year, but had big holes are the stress points (duct tape). Fifth year, this is probably the end of it. Even though it's a heavy duty vinyl, it breaks down. Hope the new one will give me a longer life, but given my previous experience, I doubt it.
