5garden on my deck!  Jun 02, 2004

I have been an enthusiatic gardener for many years. Last year my husband and I relocated to a city appartment. The only Place I can put my green thumb to work is container gardening on our 10'x15' patio. I purchased a starterHouse in January. Anxious to get a head start on my flowers and vegies, I set my Starterhouse up (in literally a few minutes) on the patio in March and filled it with 16 seed flats. It is now June and my peppers and tomatoes are begining to fruit.2 full months earlier than last year!My hanging baskets and containers are full of blooms. The Starterhouse definately delivered its promise of extending my growing season, plus I saved a bunch of money starting everything from seed. I have stored my starterhouse in the closet, it folds up into a small bag similar to a childrens tent. I plan to get it out again in fall to protect everything from early frosts. Thanks Target, you are always on the leading edge with great products !!

5Nice little greenhouse  Mar 23, 2010

FlowerHouse - FHSH200 - StarterHouse Pop Up Mini Greenhouse - Clear - 4 x 8 ft.
This is a fantastic little greenhouse. It is very well made. I checked the zippers first because I had read some bad reviews from other products. They are very strong and work well. When I opened the package the greenhouse just "popped" open like magic. I requires no poles. The material is sturdy. I can't wait to get started with planting.

5Excellent Cold Frame for Raised Beds  Mar 07, 2010
By JerseySurvivor
I purchased this to put over my raised beds. I put in some garlic, carrots, and chinese cabbage. My husband didn't like the stakes that came with it, so he bought tent stakes for about $1 each at the local Home Depot. This winter we had three nor'easters, each with about 2 feet of snow and 60 mph winds. Two of these were within a week of each other, so we had almost 4 feet of snow on top of the beds. The starter house stayed in place but collapsed under the weight of the snow. We thought we had wasted our money. Lo and behold, when the snow melted, the frames popped right back up into perfect form. Today was our first nice day so I went out and checked under the frames. My crops are thriving! I did a little weeding, then fertilized and watered, and zipped them back up. The only problem was some fabric that ripped out from the zipper, but when I zipped them up I noticed that my husband had way too much tension on the frame when he staked them. I strongly recommend these.
