gaardening kneepads Jun 14, 2009
By A. Karpinski Although these are the best that I have used so far, I am still not totally satisfied with them. The extra padding on the top needed to be restitched with heavy thread. The velcro strap keeps coming undone and needs frequent readjusting and the kneepad sometimes turns around. I am still searching for something better and would welcome ideas.

Pretty good through the first season. Oct 26, 2010

I ordered these because I grew tired of moving the pad I originally had to save my knees when gardening. These go with you wherever you move and when it comes to pulling weeds, you move a lot. They are quite durable but the velcro can cause some irritation when wearing shorts because it has a tendency to rub against your bare skin. I am a female but my legs are not super thin so they stayed in place just fine. If your legs are thin, they may not stay in place as well.

Good cushioning... adjustable straps....but rotates around knee Oct 05, 2010
By A. Pinner Nice pads... and the cushion works well if you have them lined up correctly. They like to rotate around from the front to the back. Could be worse I guess... could fall down to my ankles like old sad stockings. Overall I am glad I bought them based on other experiences with knee pads.
For Skinny Thighs do shift when using Mar 21, 2012
By Roberta Karchner Our house has a major issue, our heater is in the crawl space. About 30 feet under the house, and as the designated filter changer, not only do I have my fear of snakes and spiders to deal with, but since I have to crawl over concrete and gravel. When I emerged last time with bruised knees and a tear in my pants, I began searching for a good set of knee pads.
I chose these because they had two bands, thigh and below knee. They are waterproof and appear to have nice padding. All of these things are true.
However, as a female with size 16 thighs (that's my trouser size) the thigh portion of these is barely long enough to surround my thighs. When I kneel, they are very uncomfortable, and when I crawl, they slip to the side off of my knees after only a few steps on my knees. They will work, but I won't be adding them to my gardening gear for normal use.
It is likely a size issue, and I am looking at a different set.
I recommend these somewhat conditionally for women with thighs smaller than mine.
