4The Gardena System is Great  May 23, 2000
By Bibliophile
The Gardena system of hose / faucet / accessory connectors works very well. Two years ago, a neighbor introduced me to the Gardena system and raved about how well it worked. He regularly uses various connectors, valves, attachments, etc. and is totally satisfied. Based on his recommendation, I went out to my local home and garden store and bought a full compliment.

The system works as advertised. During the spring and summer when I'm working in the yard, the Gardena system is a pleasure to use. They don't leak, make attaching sprayers, waterers, etc. very easy, and appear to be fairly sturdy. They appear to be made of high quality plastic which has lasted me for over 1-1/2 years' moderate use. I do wonder about the long term durability of the plastic connectors and valves but, given that they are fairly cheap, I can replace them if they break. Not to mention, now that they are carried on Amazon.com, I don't even have to get in the car to get more! What a deal...

5Watering Made Easy  Mar 17, 2002

Anybody who is still walking back to the spigot and twisting the end of a cold dirty hose eveytime they want to move a sprinkler is living in the last century. With the WATERSTOP connection you do not have to turn off the water every time you change attachments or add or delete hose. You can change attachments while while the hose system is fully pressurized while wearing your dress clothing; it is that simple and clean.

5Wonderful Gardena Product!  Jun 02, 2003
By luvshihtzu "tea lover"
Love the hose attachments from Gardena. So easy on my wrists and arthritic fingers. They hold up beautifully in the Arizona sun, and unless I accidentally step on a connection, are holding up for many years. Our local hardware store stopped carrying the Gardena attachments and I was so delighted to find them at Amazon.

4Good Starter Kit  Sep 30, 2005
By Klutz Master "Jim"
Have used Gardena products for years. Generally a good value and long lasting. Connection usually leak free but occassionally needs a reset or cleaning of o-ring. Would recommend not to leave fitting under pressure if connected to metal/brass fitting. Plastic threads will distort if metal fitting heats up in sun leading to spray/leaks. Once cooled off they will reset for future use.

i like Gardena sprinklers (the Aquazoom is the queen of efficient hose-dragging), but the quick-connects are prone to snap with heavy use, so if you are a rugged gardener like me, giving your hoses an occasional stiff tug or an aggressive scoot with the foot, i recommend you skip these quick-connects and get brass ones instead; the brass ones we have show no sign of trouble ten years on, but unfortunately i can't recommend a specific model because some brands don't quite fit the others
