Poor Choice For Quality Apr 24, 2011

I fell in love with the design and graduated volume control. I removed it from the hose every time and kept it hidden out of the weather from my kids for fear they would damage it. I used mine for watering my orchids with plain old water. Mine corroded from the inside out and volume control broke in about a year. Save your money and purchase something else.

By FRANK CUCCHIARA Love the nozzle but the shutoff value is garbage. Lasted only 1 month and broke. They should make the value out of metal instead of plastic.
Short Lived, but Ok Jun 24, 2010
By Steve Dillon Pretty much concur with prior review, it lasted about 6-8 months when the on off valve broke. By then the chrome was peeling and I had to use a wrench to get if off the end of the hose. While it worked, the patterns were helpful. It sprayed pretty far on a couple of the settings and had some gentle settings also.
If only they made it to last Jun 21, 2010
By Buff Crone I've owned two of these because the variable spray pattern, nozzle shut-off with no trigger make it incredibly versatile to use and easy on the hands. Two because the first one wore out after 8 months: the nozzle no longer shut off and the plastic pattern nozzle end began to leak. I bought the second because in spite of breaking, it really was useful. Now the second one is broken and because it is made of some cheap pot metal, I cannot get it off the end of my otherwise completely nice hose. We've tried everything and it will not come off. Meanwhile the chrome covering is coming off in sheets, making it downright dangerous to hold. I've wrapped it in hose tape to keep it from cutting me until I figure out a way to get the darn thing off. This is a curly hose, so cutting it isn't an option as I cannot find a replacement part for a hose end that skinny.
Too bad Gilmour doesn't make this just a little bit nicer. It would be a very useful tool if it were made of brass.
