Just the right size! Jul 07, 2011
By Rose C. Perfect size for those small, tough jobs. Got this to compliment a large pick axe used to dig holes, turn over hard dirt. This much smaller one allows an efficient, more precise use in small area for those tough jobs...like getting to the roots of wild berry vines located hiding amongst ground cover you don't want to harm. Very happy with my purchase.

why's everybody always pickin on me Jan 14, 2012
By ray shull Great little pick, seems to be holding up well as I dig holes in the desert. I have never been a fan of sliding heads, so I drilled, counter sunk, and screwed the head to the handle. Now we get along great. I bought this to use with the metal detector, but I wish I had had it last year when I put in a sprinkler system. I'll find many uses for this puppy.

Mini pick mattock Dec 19, 2011
By Ricky Ross Very nice tool. I use it to break up the soil and chop up any roots in the garden and it does a great job of it. It's about the size of a large hammer or a chopping axe and is great for precise swings where you have to be careful to not hit or cut certain things like garden lighting.

My Main Garden Tool Jan 28, 2012
By Mary B. Martin

I love my mini pick. This is a tool that doesn't take no for an answer.
It is an extremely versatile garden tool: Use it for tilling in small beds and boxes, to dig a hole, chop weeds, to plant a flower bed. The blade side doubles as trowel, pick axe and shovel. The pick side is good for cultivating around roots, loosening soil and making small holes.
At 2 pounds, the mini pick has enough heft to make digging easy. Depending on the work at hand, use it with a light hand to work in-between closely planted beds or give it some muscle to chop weeds in the lettuce patch. Use the end of the handle to poke around a newly planted rose to eliminate air pockets and firm the soil.
I'm a gardener by profession and the mini pick is on my Top 5 list. I prefer the pick with a single spike to the ones with a 3-pronged end. A single spike can get into tight spots without damaging surrounding roots.

A gardening tool I can't be without Apr 13, 2012
By Judywildwood Great gardening tool, and one I can't be without. I love the foam rubber covering on the handle - makes it more comfortable to use. The pick on one end is handy for digging out weeds, and the wider flat end is great for digging holes for planting & generally loosening up the soil. This is my number one gardening tool. It seems very sturdy & well made.
