After one use the aluminum coating degraded for the pot and for the basket. The residue had a metalic taste and was dark grey. This will contaminate your food. I asked for a exchange and I was denied.

The pot is good for large amounts of seafood-we boiled crawfish and shrimp in it. Be sure to get a heating source that is sufficient for this size pot.
