 Finally a hose reel that does what it's supposed to Jan 16, 2009

I have to use this on a daily basis for winter watering of my horses. It holds all the hose I need and I even have room to add more. The other 250 capacity reels were stuffed and over flowing with the hose I need to use. This was easy to put together, rolls the hose up like a dream compared to the others that I have used. The 2 wheels on it allow me to tip it back and either push it or pull it easily. It also fits very nicely through my front door because it needs to go in and out of the house daily with our -20+ temperatures. So far I think it was worth every penny.

*I'm a real person that purchased and uses the Liberty 880-2*
If you're like me, you read every review. You want quality, dependability and for the product to live up to your expectations. I can say after using the Liberty 880-2, it is the BEST in its category and price for $140 Free Ship from Amazon. The directions are simple and it takes 15 minutes or so to put together--I would say my Mom (who is 62) could have it together in 25-30 minutes--Liberty purposely did not make it too complicated. It is the most durable and heavy duty of the Liberty reels IMHO, after looking at all of them. Liberty does have an 800 number that you can call if anything is missing etc - Mine had everything. It does hold 250ft of quality 5/8" (I use Flexogen hose--great stuff) garden hose, which is exactly what I needed. You will need patience in reeling the hose back onto the reel. A "silver" color reel is pictured, they call it "Bronze", I would say mine is a "Dark Grey". The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that it is Made in China. Why don't we make a product like this in the USA?

 Worked well after getting broken parts replaced Apr 04, 2011

I bought this based on the good reviews of it. The hose reel cart arrived with two issues:
1. A wrong leader hose (female threads on both end when it should have been one male and one female)
2. Broken threads on one end of Axle
Called the manufacturer (not Amazon) and got the replacement parts fairly quickly. After assembling, everything seemed to be working well (a couple of weeks so far). The only thing to be tested is how well it will do against rust and leak (no leaks so far).

We live on a small hobby farm and need to provide water to horses in the winter. The large wheels on this cart make it easy to pull over rough icy terrain. The drum is smooth and easy to wind and unwind the 300 ft of hose that we use. We have only had it for a few months, but the construction seems very solid and it works really well.

Liked everything about it, except the handle was loose. Called the company & they sent larger bolts & nuts to make the handle more stable. Super fast response from the manufacturer!! The hose winds up easily & dose not tangle. The cart is sturdy & easy to move & use, and was easy to assemble.
