Very, very nice pair of gloves to prune roses with. I have a big hand and I was a little worried that the gloves would be too small or too tight.
They fit extemely good with a little room left inside. I plan to buy a second pair.

Leather construction is basic and functional - husband has not made any negative comments about fit or feel. Shipment was FAST and the price was CHEAP.

 OK but not perfect for protection Jun 13, 2010

Gloves were delivered prompty. They are the gauntlet design I was looking for. However, they are different than the all-leather kind I had for a few years, and finally wore out. This pair has 2 kinds of leather, a rough leather on the cuff, and a kind of funny, shiny, smooth leather in the hand portion. This is the slightly darker part you see in the picture. The first time I used them, it was a cool, showery April day here in Seattle, and they got pretty wet. Then as I was cleaning up after a couple hours of use, I noticed a thistle that needed to be picked, just about a foot across, hugging the ground, and about ready to shoot a stalk up. So I reached down and grabbed it, and OUCH, one of the thorns stabbed right through into my index finger. I've been pretty careful with them since, which kind of defeats the reason for having a heavy-duty gauntlet glove.

My husband works out in our gardens all season and he's always getting poked or cut, since he takes medication that causes bleeding I wanted something heavy duty, good quality, and pliable enough that he would use them. These fill the bill, great product. The vendor shipped on time and we're very happy with this purchase.
