1Just as bad as round bamboo skewers  Nov 21, 2009
By P. Piggly Hogswine
I'm very disappointed in these skewers. After lots of research I narrowed it down to two choices - either these or the Stephen Rauchlein 3/8 inch ones. I went with these because of the price and I regret it. These skewers rotate under the weight of the meat just like round skewers. They aren't actually flat, they're more ovular. Sure, you can use two of these just like with bamboo skewers and turn your meat with no problems, but that defeats the purpose for me. I'm going to buy the Stephen Rauchlein ones (maybe several of the different widths) after learning this mistake the hard way.
