Convenient, but a couple quirks May 10, 2002
By J. Gitzlaff This is a very nice product for its intended use (albeit one that is rather similar to many others marketed elsewhere). However, please bear in mind a couple of subtleties that may not be obvious from the item description:(1) The length of the hose is measured at its theoretically full extension. However, the hose never actually reaches this full extension because of elastic resistance (i.e. the very same "spring" effect which is the reason you presumably bought the hose) and torsion along the length of the hose as it is stretched. My experience is that you lose approximately 25% of the hose's length to these two effects. The only way to beat this is by making sure that the hose's rated length is that much LONGER than you need. (2) Make sure that you have the appropriate adapter permitting you to attach the hose to your faucet. Designer faucets, faucets with hose attachments, imported faucets, and outdoor faucets all may have trouble working with this hose out of the box.

Perfect for apartment-dwellers Aug 01, 2002
By Christina J. Michaud This is a fabulous product--let me count the ways: 1) Attractive and nicely designed, nice color, convenient trigger-mechanism to turn on water, easily adjustable spray, and the cord never gets tangled. 2) Easily attaches to kitchen or bathroom sinks--it comes with an adapter with both male and female threads, so it will hook up to almost all sinks. But, the adapter is a little difficult to unscrew, so I bought (for about $1.50 from Home Depot) a different adaptor to leave on my sink all the time, complete with an aerator, so that I can just screw on the hose when I want to use it. I leave the whole hose in the cabinet under my bathroom sink so that it's handy when I want to use it. 3) Perfect for apartment-dwellers: I live in a fifth-floor brownstone walkup, but I have a lot of plants inside and a balcony with lots of plants outside. The hose easily stretches the 30 feet from my bathroom sink to the balcony, and I can water my tomato plants and pea plants without carrying pitcher after pitcher of water outside. Furthermore, it's great for washing windows from the outside, cleaning off the balcony after a storm, and filling up tubs for apple-ducking or other activities.

Perfect for any place without a real faucet Aug 07, 2005
By Toups
"Zach"
My only trouble with this item is that I had to go track down an adapter to make it fit my sink. Other than that, it's been perfect: we can water all of our patio and indoor plants with very little trouble. It works MUCH better than hauling 8-10 pails of water outside every few days! Surprisingly enough, the water pressure is pretty high, too.

broke with first use Aug 05, 2006
By Allen Blankenship The first time I connected it and turned on my faucet the water pressure blew the plunger apart making it inoperable.Do not waste your money on the cheap plastic construction.

High Water Pressure Users Beware Jul 07, 2006
By W. Love I put this device on my outdoor faucet and it functioned beautifully as advertised. Unfortnately, I left the faucet on at full pressure and went out to run an errand and, when I returned, the hose connector (which is plastic and not metal as shown in the picture) had ruptured and I had water streaming out and flooding everything. We have very high water pressure in our town, but you would think that they would have designed the device better. I would NOT recommend.
