Great specs but not reliable! Sep 07, 2008
By C. Blevins I bought this blower because it had the best specifications for blowers available in this price range. Air volume and air speed are 2 different things and both are important for good performance. I quickly learned that this blower achieves the rated 200MPH air speed only with the reducing nozzle attached.(look at the pictures closely). The nozzle makes the airstream rather small, which makes for slow going. It actually works better with the reducer removed. Overall, performance is pretty good for the money but reliability is another story. My unit was hard to start from day one. Once warmed up it would restart fairly easily until it got TOO warm, then it wouldn't start at all! Not very convenient if you make your living cutting grass and doing yard clean ups as I do. (I used this small blower just to clean off driveways after cutting)I had to carry my big backpack blower around as a backup for when the Poulan wouldn't start.
The last straw for me was when the pull cord broke...and that was after only 3 months of use!
To sum up let me just say "you get what you pay for". Spend just a little more and get a blower that will be reliable. Ive had good luck with both Echo and Tanaka products and will stay with these brands in the future.

Went through two within 6 months BUY ECHO Feb 24, 2009
By BRYAN KOCHNER I went through two of these within 6 months and I only pick up leaves and grass. Carb went bad with both. Waiting to buy Echo es 255 when it comes out in March which will have the 5 year gurantee.
I did like this product when it worked.

Good blower with minor flaws Nov 10, 2008
By olajoe Lots of power to pile up the leaves but mulching with this is slow going. The impeller is soft plastic so when using the vacuum attachment you will need to avoid twigs and rocks that quickly grind down, crack, and chip away the blades. Switching between the blower and vacuum is not difficult but you will need a screwdriver. Although there's no cruise control, the unit is fairly light so long periods of triggering not really a problem. Also, the noise was low enough that I could use this while wearing headphones listening to music. Overall, nice power for moving leaves, but definitely not a dedicated mulcher.

Terrible experience May 16, 2009
By JCS This leaf blower was VERY hard to start....until it completely died! It would stop working when it got hot. I used it around my house, for about 1 month, during leaf season last fall. This spring it started once and died as I was cleaning the driveway. It will not start, no matter what I do. I will never buy another Poulan product. I wasted my hard earned money. My gas Weed Eater blower lasted me several years of heavy use. I should have never switched brands. Read the other reviews for this product, you will not purchase it. The Poulan people should refund my money. I didn't get what I paid for. Terrible.

Not What I expected Apr 05, 2009
By Tomcat2 Somewhat hard to start when cold. Very hard to start when hot. Despite high MPH advertised, it is only effective in blowing off hard surfaces. Wore out a previous Poulan and liked the mulching capability. Discovered that this new "updated" model had a plasic impeller and will mulch nothing heavier than leaves.
Not happy with this at all.
