5Great storage, easy assembly  Sep 25, 2005
By amazon fan
This is a great storage solution for lawn equipment (push mower, not rider), yard tools, etc. We bought one to hide behind our new home because our home owner's association has rules about sheds and because it's low-profile, so it sits under the windows where we have it. Very easy assembly.

Don't buy this online at these prices. The Home Depot near me is selling it right now for under $280. This is their standard price, not a sale.

2Beware of lid  Sep 29, 2005
By C. Polhemus "lady purple"
The unit is very easy to assembly, but the sliding lid is poorly designed. If you lift up, even slightly, instead of sliding back the brackets break free and can't be replace successfully and permanently. The lid then comes off in a heavy wind or when being used in hot weather. Huge disappointment for a Rubbermaid product.

4Product Price Information  Jul 07, 2007
By TDJ
Do not get ripped off by purchasing this unit on the internet. I called Home Depot just to verify what others had said about pricing in their reviews and they sell it for $329. Now, I am off to Home Depot.

4Seems to work very well, but requires absolutely flat land  May 18, 2009
By Just a guy
My goal was to get the mower out of the garage. I accomplished that - and then some. This is a great shed that isnt too ugly and goes together fairly easily with two execeptions:

Assembly:

Assembly instructions are very clear and anyone can put this together if you can follow instructions. I noticed that two of the screw holes were not fully drilled out by the factory, so I had to finish the job. Other than that, everything went fairly smoothly EXCEPT . . .

. . . the roof. The way the assembly works is that you construct the floor, then the four walls, then you attach the roof. The roof attaches by engaging tabs into slots on the back and sides, then pushing the roof forward to engage everything. For the life of me I could not get the front slots on each side to engage. I got all of the others to engage and it seems to work fine (even after a pretty good rainstorm the other night), but I never was able to get the front ones to engage. From reading teh reviews, I think others had the same problem, so I don't feel as bad.

Also, more than half of the construction time was spent leveling the ground. This is a VERY important step. If the ground is not level, the whole thing will contort and nothing will fit - the roof won't close and the doors won't stay shut. Once the ground was perfectly level, everything (except the front tabs described above) went together and works well.

Operation:

This thing is actually pretty large. I am able to fit my Toro push mower and a large jogging stroller (not collapsed) side by side and still have lots of extra room for gas cans and what-nots.

I bought a lock for the door, just to keep it shut. Otherwise it has a tendency to open in the wind. If you are worried about security, the strongest lock in the world will not keep your stuff safe. If someone wants to get in, it is fairly easy to muscle the panels apart. That said, I don't think animals could easily get inside.

Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. Assembly was fairly stright-forward and it operates exactly as expected. I accomplished my goal of freeing up some garage space.

2Doors fall off  Apr 25, 2008
By R. Meyer "BobM621"
I've had the slide lid shed for almost 2 years now and for the most part it does the job of storing all of the kids bikes and outdoor toys. The biggest issue I have with the shed it the poorly designed door hinges. The little plastic nubs that hold the door in place simply broke off. To fix this I've added decorative metal fence hinges which I bent to follow the contour of the doors. I have a feeling the hinges will now outlast the rest of the shed.
