THIS ITEM WAS WHAT IT SAID IT WAS. WASN'T TO HEAVY
AND COOKED EVENLY.
Perfect Grill Replacement for Apartments/Indoors Sep 03, 2010
Living in an apartment can often be a bummer when it comes to your grill setup - especially if you live in a place like Boston, where space is at a premium and you're often not able to have a full charcoal or propane grill of your own. I was in this situation for years, and the Sanyo HPS-SG3 was my replacement solution.
While not as capable as a full-on grill, this product really is the next best thing. We cooked everything on this electric grill: ribeye steaks, swordfish, chicken, veggies, etc. and it all came out awesome. We never had any problem with smoke in our apartment, for what it's worth.
If I ever end up in a situation where I can't own a charcoal/propane grill, I'll be buying this product again - highly recommended!
Beyond Expectations Aug 30, 2010
I am generally skeptical of indoor grilling devices. Too smoky; almost always not hot enough; too difficult to clean. For the first time in 30 years I am living in a condo with no outdoor space for a grill. I decided to try this based on customer comments. It has far exceeded my expectations. The water well truly does absorb fat and reduce smoke; the grill can get hot enough for excellent grill marks (especially on chicken and fish, shrimp).The non-stick surface of the grill is very easy to clean, as is the tray for the water well. It is also an excellent size and can handle a good deal of food. My only criticism is that the grill seems to cool off after about 5 minutes at the highest temperature so I get a slightly better sear on the first side than the second. But it is a minor problem. I highly recommend this if you like grilled food but have only indoor options........

I love my indoor grill. It is not too big nor too small even if I live alone. Both the dripping pan and the grill itself are so easy to clean. Easy to use for healthy cooking. The only thing negative about this purchase I'd like to make is that the shipping and handling was VERY expensive. It actually cost more than the grill itself, which was around $39 and the S&H was in the $50's.(total cost: $101 CDN) Fisrt I thought that it came from the States but I received my order LESS than 24 hres after I ordered it on line. So I guess it already was here in Canada ( Ontario?) Why so much?
Excellent Smokeless Electric Grill Aug 25, 2010
This grill arrived ahead of schedule and works as described by the manufacturer. We have used it inside our home a couple of times and it is easy to set up, heats up quickly and breaks down for easy cleanup. Our pork chops tasted as if they had been cooked on a gas grill. It is lightweight and easy to transport and I recommend it highly.
