1Poorly made machete  Jul 31, 2008
By Abaddon
this is a very poorly made machete. its thick, feels as if it will fall apart at any moment, cant hold an edge, and it bends like mild steel. the handles are very cheesy. one little whack and the blade bends like crazy. Theyre also about as dull as a butter knife. these are made in china. I have definitely seen better made machetes. I dont think i will ever buy from seymour again. I would recommend tramontina for a machete. Ive had one of theirs for almost 8 years now and its been the best machete ive ever had.

5great for the price  Aug 28, 2011
By Nielsens
i bought this same machete at menards for same price and for the money it is defenitly worth it if you want a cheap machete for light brush this is perfect. i used it to cut some small branches and and saplings. i also use it to clear out weeds. the first guy who reveiwed this either has too high of standards or got a faulty one. but for 6.50 you cannot go wrong. it should definatly not be used to clear anything more than saplings or a bit larger the blade is kind of thin. and yes it is made in china but asai has been amazing with blades so i dont care too much. the blade seems to be a stronger spring steel so if it bends it bends back by itself. if your thinking about getting this for light work GET IT.
