Not a Collins, but great for the price... May 29, 2008

I have an older Collins machete, which is one of the best large ones ever made. This Seymour is made in Colombia. Although the blade thickness is slightly thinner than the old Collins, the extra two inches of lenght makes it feel as hefty. This 'heft', or swing weight, seems to make the Seymour cut just as well. The edge seems to hold up as well as the Collins, and overall, I am very pleased with it. The extra lenght helps the old back when choping ground brush, too.
