Tool Wizard BBQ Brush Replacement Scrubbers

Replacement scrubbers for the Tool Wizard BBQ Brush. 2 pack of replacement scrubber pads for the Wizard Grill Brush. From Cook's Illustrated. Product Name: The Tool Wizard Grill Brush Manufacturer: Barr Bros. Price: $10.99 (brush) Recommendation Status: Highly Recommended Testers' Comments This Cooks Illustrated highly recommended model has a lightweight polypropylene grip, and a single large, tough pad (with a spare included) that did an excellent job cleaning off a baked-on mixture of honey, molasses, barbecue sauce, and mustard. Testers with smaller hands felt it provided a more comfortable grip than its wooden-handled competitor.

  • Woven mesh scourers work better than brass bristles

  • Replace the scouring pad in seconds

  • Large scouring surface area reduces grill cleaning time

  • Woven mesh scouring pads are non-clogging and washable

  • This may be the last bbq brush you'll ever buy!

2okay but not worth the money or shipping costs  Mar 18, 2009
By D. Kan "phayde1@excite.com"
I used to clean a heavy cast iron propane grill grate after cooking, don't use before cooking unless you wipe down the grate. Did the job, but as previous reviewer mentioned after few uses leaves flakes of the steel material on the grate, but takes off caked on grease and charred flesh from previous grilling.
It's okay, but I will not be buying replacement scrubbers, the wire brushes do the same trick and don't leave any steel flakes in your grill.

5replacement parts for my favorite grill brush  Jul 27, 2007
By D. Eib
These go in my favorite grill brush so I hate to say anything negative, but I will probably buy them at the grocery from now on and save money. Not that there was anything wrong with them, they worked perfectly(I gave them 5 stars they must have) but the cost is higher than retail stores and I think I can get the exact same thing for alot less.

This is a great product...Can't fault it at all...But...Look on the cleaning isle in your supermarket, next to the dish sponges...

1Too Expensive  Apr 12, 2011
By T. M. Clancy
Great Product - I was so happy and satisfied when I foud this scrubber.

HOWEVER, These replacement scrubbers are too expensive. Do your self a search and find them priced at 3.98 elsewhere. Shame on Amazon for allowing them to be so expensive.

5Tool Wizard Grill Brush is rated #1 by Cooks Illustrated  Sep 22, 2009
By Walter Boehringer
All of these negative and 'bogus' posts are from the inventor who is trying to pull sales to his own competing product which is double the cost and has 5% of the sales volume.
These scrubbers were the ones most recently tested by Cooks Illustrated and were rated HIGHER than the inventors smaller double scrubs as the larger scrubber is more effective and lasts longer. The brush itself is essentially the same except for plastic handle (which is dishwasher safe) vs. wood handle (which ages quickly outdoors) and the plastic handle version costs only $10.99 vs. $22.50 on the inventors site. These posts by the inventor are the scam! He has granted Barr Brothers the right to produce and sell the brush and receives royalty payments. Dont be fooled by a con artist!
