4Easy Starting Lightweight Weed Trimmer  Mar 22, 2006
By Doppler "PJA"
I was satisfied with this product after using it. No problem at all starting. It has good motor response and is easy to control with a well designed trigger for accelerating. The line feed worked OK, except motor needs to be going fast for line to cut itself. It seemed a little hesitant before warming up, but further usage will help to learn when to adjust the choke. Best part is its light weight, since extended use will not cause arm fatigue. Should be adequate to use for most housholds.

2Hard to start and stalls out once running.  Apr 09, 2007
By Thomas E. Laffey Jr.
First time I bought a curved shaft trimmer, my old one crapped out on me so I needed a new one and saw this one on sale for around 66 dollars so I bought it. When I got it it already came assembled so all I had to do was put in the 2 cycle gas. After that I tried to start the trimmer as instructed, it took around 2-3 minutes to get it started, and once it was started and I started using it, the trimmer kept stalling on me. It must of stalled around 9-10 times trying to trim the house and the fence. Even though it stalled that many times, it still did the job it was intended to do, don't know if I received a bad weed eater or not, but I wasn't going to order the same model or brand again, I would try a brand I was accustomed too. After I was finished, I packed the machine up and sent in back to Amazon, and I orderd a more expensive one, and I'm glad I did.

5happy with purchase  Jul 19, 2006
By Steven D. Horton "Steve"
I had been looking to purchase a new weedeater, and so knew a good price when I saw it. Getting free shipping from Amazon on this made the choice easier. I wanted a light-weight, easy to operate weedeater and that is exactly what I got. The price was right and the free shipping made the purchase on-line less expensive than going to a big-box store. It arrived quickly as well. I have used the weedeater for approximately 15 hours or so of run time and it starts easly, is light weight and easy to handle, and has plenty of power for my needs. My wife even finds it easily manageble and not to heavy for her to use.

4Pull Cord  May 05, 2006
By Aikman Fan "Charles"
Bought Weedeater brand new from Sears in February, 2006. Used 2 times without a problem (actually like better than the Craftsman trimmers i had before.)During the 3rd use, after about 10 minutes i stopped the trimmer to remove some small branches in the area where i was to trim next. After restarting trimmer ( which started on first try) i noticed the pull cord did not rewind into the trimmer. Have not been able to start trimmer since . I believe problem is the Starter Sping for rewinding the pull cord rope, which is not covered in the warrenty.

4Needs To Be Adjusted.  Dec 01, 2007
By Redneck57 "Redneck"
My son-in law bought a new one of these. The only way I could use it was on half choke. Thanks To CA you can not adjust the carb. without a special tool. There are two adjustments on the carb. Low speed, & High speed. Take a 1/4" dowel pin and drill a hole in the end of it and push it down over the spline adjustment screws, or buy you a tool on ebay, for poulan or weedeater. It took about a 1/4 turn on one of the screws to adjust. It now runs great.
